Coinciding with the first Juneteenth to be recognized as a federal holiday, I’d like to promote Black Sci-Fi Short Stories, a new anthology collection released by Flame Tree Press.
This is a collection of stories by 20 authors, both classic and contemporary.
And best of all…I’m one of the contributing writers!
That’s right – my short story “Suffering Inside, But Still I Soar” is included in this collection, which is now available in Canada and the United States!
I’m excited to share my story with you; it is a culmination of a very tumultuous year that included being laid off, finding a new job, and rediscovering my purpose and my love for being a writer.
Every journey has steps along the way and I continue my short story to be the first step in many to come. As I continue to produce content, it is my intent to create a short story collection of my very own.
In a previous post I described how “Suffering Inside, But Still I Soar” coincides with the backstory of one of my characters; I hope to create a collection that explores unique adventures with four of the other protagonists.
And as I do so, I will continue to write my novel. But for now, I wish to celebrate my success with getting the first of many short stories published for the world to see and enjoy.
